Religious sites
Article Abstract:
The notion of the religious site, that is, the location, placement, investment in physical or material terms of religious attachments and feeling, is contradictory, both rigorously insisted upon and strenuously dismantled, and with different and often contradictory emphases placed on sites by different religions. The study of religious sites has to use micro-institutional approaches to religion, sensitive to a wide range of strategies of socio-cultural location or siting, to the heterogeneity of socio-political conditions within which they function.

Religion and non-hierarchy
Article Abstract:
Religions, as deep unconscious narratives, precede and in some sense order the wide range of religious manifestations, offering an organizing principle that does not deny the multiplicity of praxes. Several key tropes, which suggest a possible means of reading the unconscious levels of religions are discussed, while not denying their changing, socially constructed and nuanced manifestations.
