Responding to "the failure of sex education." (response to Barbara Dafoe Whitehead, The Atlantic Monthly, Oct 1994)
Article Abstract:
Enhanced sexual education is much-needed to provide children and youth with information on issues such as contraception and abstinence, thereby indicating that comprehensive sexual education is not a failed experiment as alleged. Sexual education provides children and adolescents with valuable insight on issues such as teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, thereby empowering them to make better decisions on issues of their sexuality.
