The case for pre-funding Social Security
Article Abstract:
Policy options available for closing the financial shortages within the limits of the system are discussed along with the case of pre-funding Social Security through personal retirement accounts (PRAs). Besides being a provision to partially pre-fund Social Security, pre-funding Social Security through PRAs in combination with changes to the system to reduce expenditure growth could result in benefits in the US economy.

Not on the radar: Illegal immigrants are bolstering Social Security
Article Abstract:
The seven million illegal immigrant workers in the US are providing Social Security system with a subsidy of $7billion a year thereby supporting the system. The money paid by illegal workers and their employers is factored in to all the Social Security Administration's projections.
