Article Abstract:
On Constitution Day 2003, the National Archives Building in Washington will reopen and display the newly restored Charters of Freedom-the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. This launches a new effort of the National Archives-the National Archives Experience-that will highlight even more records of the American experience to the public.

The re-opening of the Rotunda of the National Archives building in Washington, D.C. marks the coming home of the famous documents Charters of Freedom and the INITIAL rolling out of the National Archives Experience. A major component will be a new theater made possible by five-million-dollar gift from the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund.

Article Abstract:
The Archives shop features a wide range of products inspired by the mission and holdings of the National Archives and by the new National Archives Experience. Because of this, a variety of merchandise lines and themes are inspired and several hundred products are introduced.
