When leaders display emotion: how followers respond to negative emotional expression of male and female leaders
Article Abstract:
Negative emotions affect the way that observers perceive the effectiveness of a leader. There are also gender differences, with sadness and anger seen as significant negative emotions in women leaders, and sadness seen as negative in men.
