You can do something! Forming policy from applied projects, then and now
Article Abstract:
Case studies in which applied anthropology is used in solving human problems are presented. The case studies describe solutions to difficulties facing O'odham villages in southern Arizona, Ilocano homesteaders in the Digos-Padala Valley, squatter communities in Davao, Philippines and in Panama City, Panama. These solutions respond to Paul Bohannan's admonition that applied anthropology should rise from the ruins of its colonial ancestry and contribute for the betterment of the world.
