A longitudinal investigation of delinquency among abused and behavior problem youth following participation in a family preservation program
Article Abstract:
A study investigated the effectiveness of family preservation services in changing the behavior of delinquent adolescents. Results indicate that problem behavior referrals were more likely to offend than youth referred because of abuse.

Impact of a family empowerment intervention in youth recidivism
Article Abstract:
A study examined the effect of Family Empowerment Intervention on 12-month recidivism among offenders at the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center. Results indicate that youths receiving intervention services had reduced rates of recidivism for property felonies and drug felonies.

Predicting "survival" in the community among persistent and serious juvenile offenders: a 12-month follow-up study
Article Abstract:
A study of juvenile offenders assessed predictors of the number of days the offenders spent in the community before being returned to detention. Results indicate that prior commitments, weapons offenses and parental abuse and neglect are among the predictors of early return.
