Article Abstract:
Interventions to prevent relapse behavior in patients during smoking cessation programs are examined. Findings show that number of urge/lapse situations is less related to treatment outcomes than number of coping responses, and that better treatment outcomes are correlated with a higher number of coping responses discussed with patients.
