Body image treatment for weight concerned smokers: A pilot study
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted on 41 female weight-concerned smokers who are randomly assigned to receive either 12-group sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy for body image concerns or 12 group sessions for weight management. Findings reveal that all subjects received open-label bupropion SR, 300 mg daily, exercise instruction, and weekly behavioral counseling for tobacco cessation.

Exercise interventions for smokers with a history of alcoholism: exercise adherence rates and the effect of depression on adherence
Article Abstract:
The adherence rates of smokers with a history of alcohol problems to an exercise therapy program during smoking cessation is examined. The study found that smokers suffering from depression were more likely to exercise longer and more frequently. The implications for treating smokers suffering from depression are discussed.
