Class structure in contemporary Japan
Article Abstract:
The author refutes the historic approach to class study in postwar Japan, an approach characterized by the division of all classes into two categories, the capitalist class and the revolutionary working class. Class study has thus been tainted by political and theoretical biases. The reconstruction of class study as a social science is described.
