Defining a never-smoker: results from the nonsmokers survey
Article Abstract:
A survey consisting of sixty-nine non smokers who had smoked between 1 to 200 cigarettes in their lifetime, was conducted for confirming the United States Centers for Disease Control's definition of never-smoker, determining the difference among the nonsmokers and the extent of signs and symptoms shown by the individuals and finding out the threshold for dependence. The results suggest that a person, who has smoked less than twenty cigarettes in his life, could be considered as a nonsmoker.

The influence of smoking, initiated during college years, with regard to diet significance, temperamental build up and mood swings is observed by the Young Women's Health Survey.
