Discriminative stimulus effects of diazepam and buspirone in normal volunteers
Article Abstract:
A study of nineteen healthy adults shows discriminative and self-reported effects of diazepam and buspirone at progressively lower doses and reveals that at commonly used clinical doses diazepam has greater discriminability than buspirone. Discriminability was increased by reinforcement of progressively lower doses, which resulted in behavioral effects at lower doses than previously reported. Some self-reported effects were similar for the two drugs, but diazepam was associated with increased drowsy/sleepy ratings, while buspirone was associated with higher tense/nervous ratings.

Speed contingencies, number of stimulus presentations, and the nodality effect in equivalence class formation
Article Abstract:
Performances are compared based on conditional discrimination task by conducting two experiments using single-participant designs with and without speed contingencies. The nodality effect and on the notion of relatedness among class members and reinforcement-contingency account of equivalence class formation are analyzed.

Punishment in human choice: direct or competitive suppression?
Article Abstract:
Studies show that a competitive-suppression model does not describe punishment in human choice as well as does a direct-suppression model. The two models were assessed both quantitatively and qualitatively.
