Embeddedness, path dependency and social institutions: An economic sociology approach
Article Abstract:
A theoretical approach is discussed based on embeddedness that assumes the economic actor apart from being an atomized and utilitarian individual as positioned within specific historical and institutional contexts in different social networks. Importance is given to the transformation of social systems based on reciprocity, associations of shared interests, forms of economic organizations and political intervention.
