Investigating GM risk perceptions: A survey of anti-GM and environmental campaign group members
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate how members of anti-genetically modified (GM) campaign groups and environment groups perceive the risks and benefits of GM technology in food and agriculture. The results showed differences of opinion regarding the degree of risk to health posed by the technology, and women and people living in rural areas, on average, ranked risks more highly than men and people living in urban areas.

Across the divide (?): Reconciling farm and town views of agriculture-community linkages
Article Abstract:
The linkages between agriculture and the rural community in the US are explored, as perceived by people embedded within each sector, against the backdrop of long-term development trends and rapid latest changes. Evolving structural change in the farm sector reflects not only voluntary business decisions made by individual duals, but also the outcome of a complex and ongoing restructuring of agriculture.
