Media memories: the first cable/VCR generation recalls their childhood and adolescent media viewing
Article Abstract:
The first generation raised in a media environment expanded by cable and VCRs, recalled childhood and adolescent media viewing in autobiographical essays. The media's contribution to individual's self-development is reflected through these recollections that are considered from a symbolic interactionist perspective.

The portrayal of public relations in the news media
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to explore the meaning and connotation of public relations in news stories carried by major newspapers and network television. The findings suggest that the term public relation was primarily used to suggest image building, reputation management and persuasion efforts.
