A new study examines the link between health status and drug use in a population of crack-cocaine smokers who are not receiving treatment. An assessment of the reliability of the Medical Outcomes Short Form 36 among drug users is assessed.

Ohio's prison-based therapeutic community treatment programs for substance abusers: preliminary analysis of re-arrest data
Article Abstract:
A study assessed the effectiveness of prison-based therapeutic communities (TCs) for prisoners with drug abuse histories. Results indicate that inmates with longer TC exposure were less likely to be rearrested/charged with drug-related or violent crimes.
