Overlapping social networks: How couples manage family expenditure in Taiwan
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis about the overlap of couples' social networks and the degree of joint behavior in conjugal role relationships was studied. The result revealed that the overlap types of the couples' social networks had significant effects on their management of family expenditure and those with high diversity of ego's kin ties and high cross linkages through spouse, practiced the joint conjugal role pattern of family spending.

The employment discontinuity of married women in Taiwan: Job status, ethnic background and motherhood
Article Abstract:
The determination of married women's employment discontinuity in Taiwan is studied because of the general belief that they leave their jobs because of marriage, pregnancy or childbirth. The results show that job status of both husbands and wives and husbands' ethnic background and general role attitudes have significant impacts on women's reasons to quit.

Factors facilitating Japanese married women entering the labor force
Article Abstract:
Factors that ease married Japanese women's participation in labor force are studied. The factors that encourage married Japanese women to take up a job outside home are having mother-in-law staying with them, low income of husband, and many more.
