Perceptions of knowledge, actual knowledge, and information search behavior
Article Abstract:
Study on the determinants of perceived knowledge and the relationship between perceptions of knowledge and information search behavior revealed a weak relationship between actual and perceived knowledge. The study showed a negative relationship between perceived knowledge and information search behavior under private conditions. The research also revealed an assimilation effect between peer reference group and perceived knowledge. The research involved 105 SUNY-Albany undergraduates and another 23 subjects who participated in the research under a separate control condition.

Plausible assumptions, questionable assumptions and post hoc rationalizations: Will the real IAT, please stand up?
Article Abstract:
The plausible assumptions claimed by the researchers of Implicit Association Test (IAT) are shown to have properties suggesting they are post hoc realizations. However, they make little theoretical sense and do not contribute to advancing research and theory on implicit attitudes.
