South Africa's national housing subsidy program adn apartheid's urban legacy
Article Abstract:
This article examines post-apartheid reform and low-income housing subsidy legislation. The author studies the ability of South Africa's housing program to integrate and desegregate cities. The city of George, Western Cape Province, is used to study trends across the country. The author concludes there have been benefits to the program, but it is not a complete short-term solution.

Musings on the fat city: are obesity and urban forms linked?
Article Abstract:
Each city's fat content is figured out and comments on how obesity and urban forms are linked together are described. It is estimated that all the 'fat cities' on the list of the fattest cities in the U nited Sates suffer symptoms of sprawl to some degree.
