Terrorism as transnational advocacy: An organizational and tactical examination
Article Abstract:
A study comparing the transnational advocacy networks (TANs) and Terror TANs (TTANs) is illustrated, thereby offering an insight into the tactics and motivations that define modern terrorism. Al Qaeda is very much like a transnational advocacy network because its approach is sophisticated, it uses transnational information flows and financial resources to advance its agenda and like the human rights movement, and it uses communication technology for easy spread of information.
