The prevalence and frequency of drug use among Western Australian metropolitan high school students
Article Abstract:
A school drug-use survey provides data that can be used to analyze drug usage patterns among adolescents. The survey revealed that alcohol, marijuana and tobacco are currently the three ther three most prevalent substances used by Western Australian metropolitan high school students, followed by hallucinogens, amphetamines, and inhalants. Findings indicate that educators should be more focused on the understanding of the patterns of substance used to be able to shape a better drug education program.
