Trust as a criterion and heuristic approach to sociopolitical consultation: An alternative view on ethics and values of professionalism in social work
Article Abstract:
The impact of economic-oriented reforms of the welfare state and social administration on professional services is examined. The analytical instrument 'dual-principal-agent model' has shown that trust, as criterion of professional practice, has offered a new method for shaping recommendations on the institutional level and has provided a basis for economic-oriented institutional ethics in the discussion of professionalism.

Crisis or decline? Problems of legitimation and loss of trust in modern professionalism
Article Abstract:
A crisis of modern professionalism can be diagnosed with regard to both license and mandate, which is represented as a process of destruction and as a process of erosion. Both processes are embedded in developments taking place in society as a whole and the modern professionalism is being undermined and eroded not only from without, but also from within.
