What happened to socialism and does it matter
Article Abstract:
A number of books written by Lipset's on socialism in the United States have been reviewed. Socialism in various countries are compared and comparative opinion data shows that Americans are more individualist, more critical of state guarantees and their egalitarianism is distinctive and different from the egalitarianism of other industrial democracies.
