Turmoil is a 151-foot Research Vessel Yacht that demonstrates the design philosophy of Boon and Vripack-Yachting. The boat is made of aluminum and was designed on a computer. Boon designs hulls with low resistance, great seagoing traits, and power for efficient cruising.

Binoculars up close

Several binoculars especially built for marine use are evaluated. The binoculars tested all had magnification ratings of 7x and 50-mm objective lens. Several considerations for evaluating binoculars are eye relief, focusing, size and weight.
