Many skiers see their equipment as things to use and then get rid of when they are no longer functional. However, some skiers actually keep mementos of the sport. A skier describes his collection of old wooden skis, ski books and other ski-related memorabilia.

The cheapskate
Article Abstract:
One skier saves money by cooking on camp stoves in ski lodges, buying groceries before arriving at the ski area and eating sandwiches on the chairlift. The skier, who also is a physician, spends the money he saves on more skiing and items such as boats.

Remembrances of skiers past

The US National Ski Hall of Fame and Museum in Ishpeming, MI, houses displays on skiing history and personalities as well as the ski book collection of Roland Palmedo. The new museum building includes a theater for the exhibition of ski films.
