A slow ride to Bermuda
Article Abstract:
The 41st biennial Newport-Bermuda Race, which began on Jun 19, 1998 in Rhode Island Sound, reflected the spirit of competition that permeates in every sailor. Alberto Roemmer, who was aboard a Reichel/Pugh-designed ILC Maxi, was the first to complete the 635-mile course in 90 hours, 56 minutes.

Top crop at Kenwood Cup
Article Abstract:
The Kenwood Cup, also known as the Hawaii International Offshore Series, attracted 30 IMS and one-design entries from 7 different countries. The event was hosted by the Waikiki Yacht Club. The series include 4 days of inshore racing and 2 offshore races.
