Accelerometer-determined physical activity of free-living college students
Article Abstract:
A study provides descriptive data of accelerometer-determined ambulatory physical activity in a sample of free-living college students and to examine college students' ambulatory physical activity patterns. Results indicate that participants accumulated a moderate amount of physical activity on most weekdays, but very few are meeting the vigorous physical activity recommendation, and that male students are more active than female students.

Reliability and validity of YRBS physical activity items among middle school students
Article Abstract:
The test-retest reliability and the validity of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) items for moderate and vigorous physical activity in middle school students are investigated. The analysis reveals that YRBS method is not very reliable and hence use of accelerometry for physical activity surveillance is recommended.
