Amino acids and endurance exercise
Article Abstract:
This article examines the physiological processes involved in amino acid utilization in skeletal muscle during intense exercise. Amino acids only contribute minimal amounts of energy to muscles during endurance exercise but directly influence immune function, central fatigue, and cellular processes related to skeletal muscle metabolism.
