Annapolis YC wins U.S. Yacht Club challenge

One-design ace Chris Larson and his crew gave recognition to his hometown Annapolis, MD, Yacht Club (YC), when they won the event which fields an adult keelboat fleet and two dinghy classes for juniors. The crew anchored a 1-point overall team win over Newport Harbor YC and St. Petersburg, FL, YC.

Alone and wild as ever
Article Abstract:
The fifth edition of the Around Alone sailing competition proved to be very dangerous and demanding. Sixteen sailors crossed Charleston, SC, at the starting line of the race. However, at the leg 3 stopover, only nine remained because of dismastings and disqualifications.

Hometown crew wins the Women's Rolex

A report on the race strategies and outcome of the US Sailing 1999 Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship is presented. The race was won by Pat Connerney and her crew from Middletown, Rhode Island.
