Article Abstract:
The Bay View Boat Club's twentieth annual Plastic Classic Regatta and Concours would include 55 choices of newfangled fiberglass boats which is a way to keep things stirred up for boats whose class racing has dwindled or evaporated. Some of the highlights of the Plastic Classic's that include accepting the Concours award for prettiest boat overall, accepting the racing award for first overall in the regatta and accepting the award for the longest-owned boat, are presented.

Getting back on the water
Article Abstract:
The sailors of the Gulf Coast knew that the South would be back again to normal even before Katrina's debris was cleared. Even after all the pain and trauma, the spirit was alive, seeing both victims and survivors smile, one looked forward to seeing everything cleared of Katrina.

Fly Robin Fly

Robin Staver purchased a boat Downeast 38 and named it 'Fly Robin Fly'. He took sailing lessons, shipped the boat to Asia, and lived like the locals in Malaysia by avoiding international restaurants and resorts.
