Basic Training
Article Abstract:
Runners must take clothing, nutrition, running surface and speed into consideration when beginning a running program. Good shoes are the most important item, and runners should expect to spend at least $65 on a top pair. Clothing that wicks moisture away from the skin is also key. Running on concrete should be avoided at all costs. Asphalt is suitable, but grass or dirt is ideal. Beginners should start out by doing intervals of running and walking, and gradually increase the amount of time spent running. Tips on nutrition are also included.
