Energy gels are an ideal nutrient source for bikers as they contain carbohydrates that the muscles need during exercise. They come in convenient single-serve foil packages that can be sucked while riding. Gels may contain medium chain triglycerides, caffeine/guarana, ginseng or amino acids.
