A boat test performed on the Bavaria 42 Cruiser with respect to various features including displacement, the hull and overall ergonomics. The boat priced at $206,350 was launched in October 2005 with a 55 horsepower Volvo auxiliary diesel cruising at a speed of 8 knots at 2500 rpm.

The German built Dehler 47 got the 2005 Boat of the Year award for production cruisers above 45 feet, loaded with inventive features and signature lines of Judel/Vrolijk. The Dehler 47's slender hull and sharp, plumb bow hint at its excellent sailing abilities.
