Bottom paint for the job

Do-it-yourself boaters have many options on what type of bottom paint to use for their boats. These include water-based paints and soft and hard paints. Paint maker Interlux also developed Veridian, a paint considered to be the best bottom coating but was later discontinued because of its high price.
