Research indicates four exercise sessions a week can cut premenopausal breast cancer risk by an average of 58%. The ability of exercise to affect the breast's exposure to hormones may explain the reduced risk. Women who start exercising at young ages and women with children benefit the most.

Oil change: olive branch may subdue breast cancer

A study of women in Greece indicates that those who consumed olive oil more often than once a day were 25% less likely to have breast cancer than women who used it less frequently. It is assumed that the women who used olive oil most often also avoided the use of other fats.
