Boating enthusiasts may find it valuable to have computer programs for producing nautical charts. Examples are Maptech's Cruising Navigator and Pinpoint Systems' Cap'n Squared. These chartplotters allow a person to view raster-scanned charts based on the NOAA's 1,016-chart library.
