The experience of sailing to and exploring historic Pitcairn Island in the South Pacific Ocean is narrated. The island was used as a hiding place by Fletcher Christian and other mutineers of the HMS Bounty in 1789. An old anchor believed to belong to the HMS Bounty was recovered.

A failed attempt to sail along the West Coast from San Diego, CA, to Alaska using a small sailboat in March is narrated. Delivery boat skippers were unanimous in discouraging the trip because of bad weather during that time of the year.
