Down the Windward Passage

A sailor describes his experience in sailing with his friends on a three-night voyage of 350-miles through the Windward Passage between Cuba and Haiti. He believes that the Windward Passage is a funnel for shipping, and sure enough, plenty of behemoths were crossing their path.

A tourist shares his experience of cruising in Cocos Banderos where he encounters 'culo de pollo' the local name for sudden winds. The wind rose to 60 knots and howled for an hour while the roiling water that kicked up sand from the bottom, stopped the reading of depth sounder.
