Some people say they go fishing in order to understand and get in touch with nature, but it is likely that the real, overriding reason that most go fishing is simply to catch fish. They go with familiar, tested equipment and with skills sharpened over the years, and they enjoy fishing.

Will eating fish harm your kids?
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the harmful effects of eating fish contaminated with mercury are discussed. The report of the National Academy of Sciences on the subject suggests that 60,000 new born babies may suffer neurological damage due to exposure in utero.

British Columbia uses radio telemetry to identify and track steelhead trout that have been tagged. The tagging procedure is considered to be more humane than the use of monofilament gillnets and minnow traps.
