Medicalised erections on demand?
Article Abstract:
There are medical, economic and ethical issues associated with the use of sildenafil citrate (Viagra) in the treatment of impotence. In medical terms, impotence is not a single disease or condition, and psychological factors probably cause many more cases of impotence than organic ones. From the economic point of view, Viagra is expensive, and its use may mean that resources are diverted from other forms of expenditure. In ethical terms, it is clear that impotence causes great psychological trauma, but this does not justify the widespread use of a still largely untested treatment.

Culture war
Article Abstract:
Whale conservationists are trying to block the plans of the Makah Indian fishermen to resume their whaling tradition. Conservationists are disputing the legitimacy of the Makah as subsistence hunters since they have not hunted whales since 1926. They also are challenging reports that hunting would not affect gray whale populations. Nevertheless, Makah fishermen intend to push through with their plans, claiming that whaling allows them to recover a lost part of their culture.

IN THE SANDALS OF THE FISHERMEN
Article Abstract:
A vistor to Israel, in search of traces of Jesus, describes the experience. Many Christians, Muslims and Jews come to Israel for religious reasons, but this is not necessary. The country has a natural beauty, a blend of cultures, and a sense of history that would appeal to most visitors, regardless of religious beliefs. But for most it also remains the birthplace of religions.
