Researchers found that ten people who reported chronic vomiting over periods ranging from 3 months to 6 years were actually suffering from Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and responded to the usual treatment, omeprazole. Previously, chronic vomiting was not a recognized sign of GERD.

Delay decline: antioxidants may slow Alzheimer's

Two antioxidants, selegiline and vitamin E, have been found to slow down the effects of Alzheimer's disease. Three hundred and forty one Alzheimer's patients in a study group were given 2,000 IU of vitamin E or 10 mg of selegiline daily and the progress of their symptoms were slowed.
