Eternal spring: cholesterol drops may make arteries younger
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that cholesterol-lowering therapy restores the ability of arteries to dilate and lowers blood pressure. The improvement in artery responsiveness may be caused by the removal of fatty deposits on artery walls. Lower production of superoxide may also be a factor.

Filter our trouble: how to brew down cholesterol levels

Research indicates that unfiltered coffee raises cholesterol levels, while filtered coffee has no such effect. Researchers believe the substances cafestol and kahweol, found in unfiltered coffee, may have something to do with changing the levels of cholesterol in the blood.
