Does endurance training affect orthostatic responses in health elderly men?
Article Abstract:
A study shows that elderly men who undergo endurance training have less of a hypotensive reaction to standing up that do sedentary elderly men. This is also the opposite of the reaction found in younger highly active men. This study shows that elderly men can increase oxygen intake with endurance training without increasing cardiovascular distress.

Ultraviolet exposure in the Ironman triathlon

Athletes training for and competing in the Iron Man competition are exposed to 8.3 MED of ultraviolet radiation and often suffer from sunburn, even of tanned skin that is protected by sunscreen. Iron Man rules should be modified to allow sunscreen coverage on all exposed skin.
