Muscle oxygenation trends during constant work rate cycle exercise in men and women
Article Abstract:
The percentage of muscle oxygenation during exercise when separated by genders suggests gender may not be an accurate predictor of muscle oxygenation rate. Men and women were subjected to similar work stress loads to identify their lactic acidosis thresholds and then after two minutes of recovery. The variations between genders in this study may be influenced by near infrared spectroscopic technique.

Growth hormone responses during strenuous exercise: the role of GH-releasing hormone and GH-releasing peptide-2
Article Abstract:
Strenuous exercise increases levels of growth hormone releasing hormone, which in turn increases levels of growth hormone. Growth hormone releasing peptide-2 may also be affected by exercise, although its exact mechanism is unknown.

Human erythrocyte and plasma am ino acid concentrations during exercise
Article Abstract:
Erythrocytes absorb amino acids at a relatively rapid rate during exercise even in the absence of a plasma increase. This contradicts the belief of many scientists that erythrocytes do not transport amino acids between tissues.
