Effect of isometric exercise on pain perception and blood pressure in men and women
Article Abstract:
This article investigates the effects of handgrip exercise on pain threshold and blood pressure in a sample of men and women. Findings indicate that baseline blood pressure levels and pain perception differed significantly between groups and only women reported lower pain ratings of a pressure stimulus after submaximal exercise.

Single versus multiple sets in long-term recreational weightlifters
Article Abstract:
Results show that weightlifters training on a single set of programs over a 13 week period and those on multiple sets showed significant improvement in muscular fitness and body composition. The study further shows that multiple sets do not lead to any greater improvements than single set training programs.

Impact of high-intensity exercise on nitric oxide exchange in healthy adults

Results show that high-intensity exercise substantially improves the ability of nitric oxide to diffuse between airway tissue and alveolar regions and the gas phase.
