Effects of acute versus chronic L-carnitine L-tartrate supplementation on metabolic responses to steady state exercise in males and females
Article Abstract:
Acute and chronic doses of L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) supplements were administered to healthy individuals, to compare the impact of the supplements on metabolic reactions. Overall results suggested that carbohydrate oxidation (CHO) increases in males during activity with chronic LCLT, but not so in females.

Effects of four weeks L-carnitine L-tartrate ingestion on substrate utilization during prolonged exercise
Article Abstract:
L-carnitine is a vitamin like nutrient is produced naturally in the body as well as by way of meat products for energy production. A study conducted for a period of four weeks concluded that L-carnitine L-tartrate supplements have no effect on substrate utilization or endurance performance.
