Effects of prolonged vibration on motor unit activity and motor performance
Article Abstract:
The findings from several studies on the effects of prolonged vibration on motor unit activity and motor performance during maximal and submaximal contractions in humans are synthesized. The results establish that prolonged vibration does not impair the voluntary drive to muscle during maximal contractions, but reduces excitatory Ia afferent input that originates from the vibrated muscles.

Time of day influences the environmental effects on muscle force and contractility
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate the effects of environmental temperature and the diurnal increase in body temperature on muscle contractile processes. The result showed that both the warm exposure and the diurnal increase in body temperature influence muscle contractility and consequently muscle strength.

Effects of active warm-up and diurnal increase in temperature on muscular power
Article Abstract:
The effects of both an Active Warm-Up (AWU) and the diurnal increase in body temperature on muscular power are investigated. The results suggest that time of day enhances muscular power by increasing force, whereas an AWU failed to increase this parameter.
