The founder Frank Butler, head designer Gerry Douglas and sales manager Sharon Day of the US based Catalina, one of the highest-volume sailboat builders, have worked together for more than a quarter-century to keep their boats evolving with the market. Catalina builds its 310, 350, 387, 400 and 470 models at its plant in Largo, Florida and uses a traditional building methods.
