Exertional heat illness during training and competition
Article Abstract:
Exertional heat illness is found to affect athletes tremendously during a high-intensity or long-duration exercise, often resulting in muscle cramping or heat exhaustion. Prevention strategies should be adopted to reduce the occurrence of exertional heatstroke (EHS), heat exhaustion and exercise associated muscle cramping for better health of the athletes.
