Flush with controversy: mandatory use of type III MSD flies in the face of scientific evidence
Article Abstract:
Mandating that boats use holding tanks rather than flow-through sanitation systems will not make a significant difference in water pollution from untreated nutrients or coliform bacteria. Boaters should be allowed to make their own choice of the most practical waste management system.

Savannah River: the deadly cover-up
Article Abstract:
Radioactive waste released from nuclear weapons plants near the Savannah River has polluted the river since the 1950s. The US Department of Energy did not even acknowledge the amount of pollution until the late 1980s. The environmental damage is described.
